ABOUT THE ROLE:
Two vacancies each for a 6 month full time HMO positions in Women's Health working in the Emergency Department
Women’s Health Emergency Medicine – RACGP Registrar
Feb 2023 - Aug 2023
Aug 2023 - Feb 2024
Accredited Extended Skills post for FRACGP training as part of the AGPT (Adult General Practice Training) program
Based at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, Emergency Department
Providing care to women presenting with O&G conditions to a Women's Health Emergency Department
Provides extensive experience and training in management of early pregnancy care and in early pregnancy ultrasound (option to complete a further qualification in clinical performed/point of care early pregnancy ultrasound)
Employment terms as per the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Hospital Medical Officer Certified Agreement

ABOUT YOU:
Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Experience in either provision of Emergency or Women's Health Care
Highly developed and up to date clinical and theoretical knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with people at all levels and work collaboratively with a diverse team

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
