Position Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE: Mercy Health has an opportunity for a Health Information Manager who has experience in implementing and leading change. This is a part time (20 hours per week) 12 month maternity leave position that will be responsible for reviewing workflows, implementing new systems and processes and be a key change lead within HIS.

The successful applicant:

  • Will have 3 or more years’ experience working in Health Information Services and be familiar with HIS systems and processes
  • Must have experience with developing change and communication plans
  • Will be responsible for conducting training, and developing training manuals and material
  • Will be required to work cross campus at Heidelberg and Werribee.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Health Information Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate that they have successful lead change within their organisation or department
  • Demonstrated ability to review workflows and implementing initiatives 
  • Great written and oral communication skills 
  • Must be enthusiastic and motivated

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
