Position Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE: Unique opportunity to lead this service into the future in light of the recommendations arising from the Royal Commission into Mental Health.  Mercy Mental Health is a growing service and this is a chance to shape the future of mental health services in the Mercy catchment. 

Summary of the role: To provide direction to the Community Mental Health team in line with Mercy Mental Health and Mercy Health strategic direction.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Approved Degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA or Registration as a Registered Nurse or recognised degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of AASW or Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous Management experience (min 3 years) with leading a mental health team
  • Knowledge of mental health

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
